“Physics Informed Machine Learning Applications to Geotechnical Engineering”

RWTH Aachen invites you to participate in its first ENHANCE Blended Intensive Programme on “Physics Informed Machine Learning Applications to Geotechnical Engineering”  

The course is organized by the Institute of Geomechanics and Underground Technology and is structured as follows:First, students will participate in a two-day introductory course delivered via Zoom on July 18 and 19, 2022. During these two days, the principles behind machine learning are discussed and students will learn about the tools they will work with, which is mainly Python code written in Jupyter Notebooks. During the week on campus, from July 25 to 29, 2022, students will apply their newly acquired theoretical knowledge in a hackathon-style workshop. Besides the coursework, social events such as BBQs and local tours will be held.

Course term: 18-19.07 - online, 25-29.07 - onsite at RWTH Aachen

The application is open to master's students in engineering, geophysics, computer science, and applied mathematics.
Students can earn a total of 3 ECTS for the course and receive an Erasmus+ grant from their home university. More information about schollarschip.
